No matter how bad you’ve got it, somebody probably has it worse… and is sick of hearing you whine about your lot in life.

Let this be a lesson, kids: Just because you hung a lampshade on it doesn’t excuse that you did something terrible. But since this joke (such as it was) wouldn’t let me go… here it is, purged from my system at last.  

I’m enjoying Brent Weeks’ “The Black Prism” well enough, but that’s one hell of an unwieldy paperback to deal with, especially if you’re trying not to bend the poor thing in half at the back so you can see the whole page…
