Pete’s In Our Time

Who is this strange duck and why does he wield such power?

The answers to those questions… will have to wait for a while. Our little tempest in a teacup comes to a close.

As experiments go, this didn’t actually turn out too badly. I’m not saying that it was a great storyline. In fact, it’s terribly slapdash. That’s not the point. I managed to start and finish the thing, that’s what I’m happy about. I worked in a few jokes along with some character development along the way, and brought the situation to a resolution.

It’s a partial resolution, admittedly. The girls may accede to Score’s will (and they trust that he will deal with Neil and Roger) but there’s still some thwarted vengeance brewing…

Restoring Orders

I’m not sure, between two thirds of the tea-drinking contingent and seven eighths of the Commandos, which is the rock and which is the hard place. It’s probably an academic question that Neil would prefer to ponder from a safe distance, indeed.

And yes, I did write myself into quite the corner when it comes to Score’s little verbal quirk. Note to self: Don’t get him upset very often. It’s rough on the ol’ Thesaurus.

Can our grim little hero of the hour wrap things up in just one more comic? Stay tuned, true believers!

Pincer Maneuver

My original idea involved Roger coming up with some kind of harebrained scheme from which they’d later have to be rescued. Two problems arose with this plan:

1) That’d drag this little storyline out even longer.

2) I’d have to actually come up with a harebrained scheme from which yadda yadda yadda.

I’ve chosen the better part of valor, here. Trust me.

Just two more comics remain before we get back to a nice run of silly gags. Hang in there, folks!
