There are times when Rusty’s huge-eyed stare works well. When he’s reacting to a pun is the most common, of course. But this, the rarely-seen “angry Rusty,” is surprisingly effective.
/is it bad of me that I wound up with an inappropriate image in my head when I read the first line of the first panel?
I thought it was going to be in the realm of a cradle-robbing joke. A duck lusting after a barely-legal egg, etc.
Me, I prefer the Cadbury mini-eggs. I have been known, once or twice, to plow single-handedly through an entire bag of those suckers in one (long) sitting.
