I’m absolutely delighted that April Fools Day landed on a Sunday this year so I didn’t have to deal with it during a workday. I don’t like pranks, head games, or practical jokes. I know: That makes me a bona fide stick in the mud. I can live with that.

I was at a Sci-Fi convention this past weekend. I was afraid there would be pranks happening everywhere, but thankfully there were none 🙂
I had to work yesterday, and I was dreading what my co-workers or customers might do, but I was thankfully spared. (Other than getting stiffed on a tip, but that’s a year-round possibility.)
Stick in the muds, unite!
At least I didn’t have to spend the day troubleshooting phones because some nimrod taped the hook down, or removed lights.
This is the first year I’ve been at the Duck U Bookstore that I haven’t been able to do my “rubber chicken in the safe” gag to the store manager.
There’s just no point in doing it to myself.
Truly, the passing of an age. Still, as downsides go for moving up the food chain, that’s not terrible. Now you just have to come up with something to do to your minions!
Minion. Maybe next year, I’ll have my minion open on 4/1… and do the rubber chicken gag again.
I wonder if I could spring-load it…
