Here it is, my parting gift to you from all of the ducks and I: Three weeks of posters, Monday through Friday, until the 31st of May. Since the last three years’ months-of-May have all involved vacations or breaks of some kind, I figured I’d find a way to get a break and provide some actual content since… well, it’s not like I’m coming back from this break, not exactly. (There is in fact one special extra coming after all of this. Just so you know.)
So come back tomorrow, and the day after that, and so on (minus weekends) through month end. Enjoy, won’t you?

I have been hoping for many months that you were lying to us all when you said you would stop. My inbox is going to much less Quacktastic after 31st May. Though there is joy from all the sadness there will be a comic/poster near my birthday. Thank you for four years of awesome comics.
You’re welcome, and thank you for being along for the ride. ๐
Wait, you’re serious about ending the webcomic? Why? It’s only just getting started. Why would you want to end it when there’s so much more you can do with it? There’s so many more things to explore about the characters and the relationships between them. What about Score’s mysterious past? What about the Commandos? What about Bob? What about the hurricane of puns that Rusty can scream in anguish at? The comic has only just begun. Quitting it now would be like cancelling a TV series on a cliffhanger to be resolved in the episode that never comes because the show was cancelled. Why do you want to do that to this comic?
There are televisions shows that don’t get four years to play out. “Just getting started” isn’t what I’d call wholly accurate. *wry grin*
Why am I ending it? Because I’m just plain out of steam. I started this thing on a whim and with some silly jokes and ideas in my head, and a desire to learn a bit more about joke construction and about photography. Those desires and ideas have run their course, and better that I get out now than that I end up really bitter and regretful later on. It certainly wouldn’t be much fun to read if I got to that point, after all! ๐

Television shows also don’t show one image every few days. The amount of strips (which is 440 according to my calculations; there’s no counter and your archive page is blank, so I had to use the /qp category) that this comic has is equivalent to 18.3 recurring seconds of video at a 24fps rate, or 17.6 seconds at a 25fps rate. So if you want to go down that route, I’d say that “just getting started” is very accurate. *Grin*

Have you thought of handing the comic to someone else, like in the case of the webcomic anti-HEROES? That way, the comic could continue without you worrying about keeping it going. It would be an awful shame if it ended now.
Also, sometimes the best art can come from bitterness. Not that I’d want you to become bitter, just saying. =3
I’m gon cry.
Oh, crap.
We knew this was coming, but still. ::Sad face:: At least now I have until May 31 to fill a QP shaped hole. Originally, I thought after last week, there would only be one goodbye comic, so at least there’s that.
